A Review Session, simply put, is the best way to study. Review Sessions break down all the information being covered in your class into videos based on topic. Are you having questions about a specific topic? Watch videos on the subject through our Facebook, iPhone/iPad, and Android apps. Study Edge is more than tutoring, we give you the EDGE! Our Study Experts analyze, organize, and write Study Materials specific to your subject to help you learn and understand the material, providing some entertainment along the way. Specific Study Materials will vary by course but usually include video Exam Review Sessions, Chapter Review Sessions, concept videos, and practice problems. For specific information, select University of Florida as your school in the upper right hand corner and then choose your class.

The Study Edge Facebook Application is a custom built application that uses all the latest and best technology to bring the highest quality supplemental instruction to students through Facebook. Our Facebook Application is used to watch Chapter Review Sessions, concept videos, practice problem solutions, textbook problem solutions, and much more. One of the best features of the application is the interactive class wall. Students are able to connect with our Study Experts and other students at any time of day. Students ask their own questions, as well as answer other students' questions.

All live Exam Review Sessions and Chapter Review Sessions are recorded and available to watch on the Facebook App. Live Chapter Review Sessions are posted as one video that requires 15 tokens. Live Exam Review Sessions are posted as two videos (the first half of the review and the second review) that each requires 15 tokens. You have a 6 hour viewing window to watch each video.

To get started using the Study Edge Facebook Application, go to www.facebook.com/StudyEdge and click the 'Study Edge App' link on the right. Once you have added the application, you will select your school and your subject. The class page for your subject is where you can watch videos and ask questions on the wall.

You can also watch videos and ask questions using our mobile apps! Go to the App Store to download the FREE Study Edge iPhone/iPad app or the Google Play app store to download the Android app.

Tokens are used to watch videos posted on our Facebook and mobile apps. There are Exam Review Sessions, Chapter Review Sessions, concept explanations, practice problem solutions, textbook problem solutions, and more. Videos that have individual concept or problem explanations only require one token to watch. There are also recordings of live reviews available on the Facebook Application. These videos each require 15 tokens to watch. Don’t worry, you won’t get them confused. The videos that require 15 tokens to watch say so in the title.

Now, how do you get tokens? When you purchase a membership, you are purchasing a certain number of tokens. With a Silver membership you get 50 tokens, with Gold you get 100, and with Diamond-VIP you get 200. You’re essentially paying for the amount of video you can watch each month. 50 tokens is about 3-6 hours of video content. So, with a Silver membership you can watch 3-6 hours of video content each month, with a Gold membership you can watch between 6 and 12 hours of video each month, and with a Diamond-VIP membership you can watch between 12 and 24 hours of video each month. At the end of the monthly period, your tokens will either be replenished back up to the level of your membership, or they will go down to 0 if you cancelled your membership. Note that viewing Chapter Reviews (15 tokens each) requires a Gold or Diamond-VIP membership.

In general we recommend a Gold membership for all of our students. Whether you are using Study Edge for two courses, or just want to be able to watch some videos more than once, Gold is typically what you’ll need. You can also purchase individual tokens if you need more and don’t want to upgrade, although its not as good of a deal.

Think of tokens like a data plan for a cell phone. You pay so much a month to have X amount of data available on your phone. The next month you pay the same amount and have the same level of data available. Tokens, just like a cell phone data plan, don’t roll over. Rather they recharge back up to their original amount when your membership is renewed.

At the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, all of our live Exam Review Sessions and live Chapter Review Sessions are recorded and available for viewing on the Study Edge Facebook Application.

Review Packets are available on our Facebook and mobile apps. You can download them and print them at home, at the library, or at any copy center. You must be a Study Edge member to view and print documents, and each document requires one token. At the University of Florida in Gainesville, Review Packets are available for pick up at the Study Edge building and also at both Target Copy locations. When picking up packets, all you need to bring is your student ID.

Study Hours are where students can come at least 18 hours per semester, per class, to study independently or with classmates while a Study Expert circulates the room, answering questions and guiding students as needed. It's like studying in a library, except you have someone there to help you when you get stuck! Almost all of our Study Hours are held in the evening, which is when most students do their studying and on-campus resources are not available. The social aspect of Study Hours also encourages the formation of Study Groups. Study Hours are included in Gold and Diamond-VIP memberships and cannot be purchased separately. Currently we offer Study Hours at UF (click here to see the UF schedule). Study Hours are either held live at the Study Edge building or virtually. Study Edge does not offer private tutoring, but Diamond-VIP members do receive a $15 credit each month from Tutor Matching Service, our partner for private tutoring!

Since we can't have a live Review Session with every individual student, we do the next closest thing! You always have a Study Expert available to answer your questions through our Facebook and mobile apps! Just go to your class page in the application and post your question on the class wall. You can also search related posts from other students taking the same course at other schools. For UF students, we offer live and virtual Study Hours. For specific information, click on your class on the main page of the website for your school. Click here for the Study Hours schedule.

Yes! Your Study Expert is always active on the wall of our application. This is included in your membership, so there is no charge for posting as many questions as you like. They will get back to you the same day with an answer to your question. Our goal is that our students are comfortable enough with their Study Expert to contact him or her outside of scheduled sessions.

All live Review Sessions are recorded and available to view on our Facebook, iPhone/iPad, and Android apps within 48 hours of the review. Chapter Review Sessions require 15 tokens to watch on the Facebook App, and Exam Review Sessions require 30 tokens. You have a 6 hour viewing window to watch a video. Note that viewing Chapter Reviews requires a Gold or Diamond-VIP membership.

Many classes also offer multiple Review Sessions based on the number of student enrolled in the course so be sure to check the schedule for your class.

There are three different membership levels—Diamond-VIP, Gold, and Silver; each of these offers a different number of tokens per month. Just click on the Study Edge App tab on the right hand side to visit the app. Click the Buy Now icon in the upper right hand corner to become a member! You can manage your account through the Facebook Application by clicking the My Account icon in the upper right hand corner. If you find yourself running out of tokens, we recommend upgrading your membership. You can upgrade your membership by visiting the My Account page on the Study Edge Facebook App. Tokens are also available for purchase. A one-time purchase of 25 tokens costs $20, and a one-time purchase of 5 tokens costs $5.

If you upgrade your membership, your credit card is charged the new amount, and your tokens are replenished to the specified membership level. Your tokens will be replenished the next month on the date that you upgraded. For example, if you upgrade from a Silver membership to a Gold membership on September 10^th, you will be replenished to 100 tokens that day and your credit card will be charged. Your tokens will be replenished back to 100 again on October 10^th.

If you decide to downgrade your membership level, your tokens will be set to that membership level, and you are charged the amount of the new membership on your next replenishment date. For example, if you downgrade from a Diamond- VIP membership to a Gold membership on January 21^st, you will be charged $50 instead of $75 on February 21^st, and your tokens will be replenished to 100 instead of 200. You can make changes to your membership on the My Account page on the Study Edge Facebook App.

Your tokens will be replenished once a month on the day you purchased your membership. For example, if you buy a Diamond-VIP membership on September 5, your tokens will be replenished to 200 tokens on October 5, November 5, etc. On the “My Account” page, you can see the date you purchased your membership.

Yes, when you cancel your membership you will no longer have any tokens to use to watch videos and view documents on the Facebook and mobile apps. If you decide to cancel your membership, your credit card will not be charged the next month and you will no longer have any tokens. Also, you will not be able to attend live Review Sessions.

Memberships are renewed by your credit card being auto-charged each month. For example, if you bought a membership on January 10th, your credit card will be automatically charged on February 10th, March 10th, and so on. If your membership did not renew successfully on the proper date, it is because one of two things happened: either you cancelled your membership in the "My Account" area before the date of renewal, or the credit card you have saved in your profile did not run properly. Either way, the result is that your token balance goes to zero immediately, and you are not considered a member. So how do you fix this? There's a very easy solution. Just go to "My Account" in the top-right corner of the Facebook App and purchase a new membership. This will immediately replenish your token balance and put you as a member in our system. You can also call us at 1-888-97-STUDY if needed.

Karma Points are awarded by our Study Experts for providing useful information about your class and answering other students’ posts on the class walls on the Study Edge app.

For every 5,000 Karma Points that you earn, you get to choose between 20 tokens, a $15 credit on Tutor Matching Service, a $10 gift card to a local restaurant/bar, or $5 cash. There’s no limit to what you can earn. For example, 50,000 Karma Points could get you $50 cash! Tutor Matching Service uses Facebook to provide students with free access to a network of private tutors- searchable by name, subject area, or course code- through which students can book and pay for tutoring sessions. Before you decide to book, you can view sample videos giving you a preview of the tutor's teaching style, view any mutual friends, see the tutor's ratings from past sessions, and view the tutor's calendar of availability. You book and pay all online with a credit card, and then rate the tutor after the session. It's that simple!
