1. What exactly is a 'Review Session'?
A Review Session, simply put, is the best way to study. Review Sessions break down all the information being covered in your class into videos based on topic. Are you having questions about a specific topic? Watch videos on the subject through our Facebook App. Study Edge is more than tutoring, we give you the EDGE! Our Study Experts analyze, organize, and write Study Materials specific to your subject to help you learn and understand the material, providing some entertainment along the way. Specific Study Materials will vary by textbook but usually include video Review Sessions and Study Problems (practice problems). If you attend UF or UGA, there are also live Exam Review Sessions, live Weekly Review Sessions, and Study Hours. For specific information, click on your class on the main page of the website for your school.
2.What is the Study Edge Facebook Application?
The Study Edge Facebook Application is a custom built application that uses all the latest and best technology to bring the highest quality supplemental instruction to students through Facebook. Our Facebook Application is used to watch concept explanations, practice problem solutions, textbook problem solutions, and much more. One of the best features of the application is the interactive class wall. Students are able to connect with our Study Experts and other students at any time of day. Students ask their own questions, as well as answer other students' questions.
To get started using the Study Edge Facebook Application, go to www.facebook.com/StudyEdge and click the 'Study Edge App' link on the left. Once you have added the application, you will select your school and your subjet. The class page for your subject is where you can watch videos and ask questions on the wall.
3. What type of videos are available on the Facebook app?
Video tokens are used to watch videos posted on our facebook application. There are Reviews Session videos, video concept explanations, practice problem video solutions, textbook problem video solutions, and more. Videos that have individual concept or problem explanations only require one video token to watch. The longer videos are recordings of Live Review Sessions, which each require 15 video tokens to watch. Don’t worry, you won’t get them confused. 4. What do I do if I missed an Exam Review or Weekly Review session?
All live Review Sessions are recorded and available to view on our Facebook app within 48 hours of the review. Weekly Review Sessions require 15 video tokens to watch on the Facebook App, and Exam Review Sessions require 30 video tokens. You have a 6 hour viewing window to watch any video.
Many classes also offer multiple Review Sessions based on the number of student enrolled in the course so be sure to check the schedule for your class.

Any video content that our Study Experts post online is available through the use of our Facebook application. Video tokens are used to watch videos posted on our facebook application. Note that viewing pdf files and other documents do not use video tokens, but you are required to have a membership to view them.
Now, how do you get video tokens? When you purchase a membership, you are purchasing a certain number of video tokens. With a Silver membership you get 50 video tokens, with Gold you get 100, and with Diamond-VIP you get 200. You’re essentially paying for the number of videos you can watch each month. 50 video tokens is about 3-6 hours of video content. So, with a Silver membership you can watch 3-6 hours of video content each month, with a Gold membership you can watch between 6 and 12 hours of video each month, and with a Diamond-VIP membership you can watch between 12 and 24 hours of video each month. At the end of the monthly period, your video tokens will either be replenished back up to the level of your membership, or they will go down to 0 if you cancelled your membership.
In general we recommend a Gold membership for all of our students. Whether you are using Study Edge for two courses, or just want to be able to watch some videos more than once, Gold is typically what you’ll need. You can also purchase individual video tokens if you need more and don’t want to upgrade, although its not as good of a deal.
Think of video tokens like a data plan for a cell phone. You pay so much a month to have X amount of data available on your phone. The next month you pay the same amount and have the same level of data available. Video tokens, just like a cell phone data plan, don’t roll over. Rather they recharge back up to their original amount when your membership is renewed.
If you go to the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL or University of Georgia in Athens, GA, note that all of our live Exam Reviews and live Weekly Reviews are recorded and available for viewing on the Study Edge Facebook Application.
6. Where do I get my Review Packet?
Review Packets are available on our Facebook App. You can download them and print them at home, at the library, or at any copy center. At UF and UGA (Gainesville and Athens), Review Packets are available for pick up at the Study Edge buiding. At FSU (Tallahassee), Review Packets are available for pick up at Target Copy. When picking up packets, all you need to bring is your student ID.
7. What are 'Study Hours'?
Study Hours are where students can come at least six hours a week, per class, to study independently or with classmates at organized tables while a Study Expert circulates the room, answering questions and guiding students as needed. It's like studying in a library, except you have someone there to help you when you get stuck! Almost all of our Study Hours are held in the evening, which is when most students do their studying and on-campus resources are not available. The social aspect of Study Hours also encourages the formation of Study Groups. We have at least 6 hours for each course. Study Hours are included in Gold and Diamond-VIP memberships and cannot be purchased separately. Currently we offer Study Hours at UF (click here to see the UF schedule ) and UGA (click here to see the UGA schedule). Study Edge does not offer private tutoring, but Diamond-VIP members do receive $15 credit each month from Tutor Matching Service, our partner for private tutoring!
8. How do I get my questions answered?
Since we can't have a live Review Session with every individual student, we do the next closest thing! You always have a Study Expert available to answer your questions through our Facebook application! Just go to your class page in the application and post your question on the class wall. You can also search related posts from other students taking the same course at other schools. For UF and UGA students, we offer live Study Hours, and at FSU we offer live virtual Study Hours. For specific information, click on your class on the main page of the website for your school.
9. So you're saying we can always get in contact with our Study Expert?
Even after Review Sessions? Yes! Your Study Expert is always active on the Facebook wall of our application. This is included in your membership, so there is no charge for posting as many questions as you like. They will get back to you the same day with an answer to your question. Our goal is that our students are comfortable enough with their Study Expert to contact him or her outside of scheduled sessions.
10. Why is Study Edge the best way to study?
Because we have the best people. Period. The Study Experts and Staff at Study Edge work hard and love what they do. Our Study Experts have been helping students, on average, for more than 5 years. Our Study Experts are more than just tutors, they have spent years learning the best way to teach the material. It is a Study Expert’s job to know everything about the subject and teach you exactly what you need to know to succeed! Watch videos and complete practice problems when you want, and where you want.
11. What if I go to UF or UGA?
Live Exam Review Sessions, Weekly Review Sessions, and Study Hours are available at the University of Florida and the University of Georgia. For more information about specific courses and pricing, select your school at the top of the page.
12. What's the deal with the memberships?
There are three different membership levels—Diamond-VIP, Gold, and Silver; each of these offers a different number of video tokens per month. With a Silver membership you get 50 video tokens, with Gold you get 100, and with Diamond-VIP you get 200. Video tokens are used to watch all video content posted on the Study Edge Facebook Application. When you purchase a membership, you can choose to have it recharged wither monthly or annually. An annual membership gives you 12 months of membership for the price of 10! Check out the Pricing page for more details. All memberships can be purchased through out Facebook App by clicking the Buy Now icon on the top of the page.
At UF and UGA, there are a few additions with your membership. With a silver membership, you can come to all live Exam review sessions. With a Gold membership, you can attend all live Exam Reviews, all live Weekly Reviews, AND Study Hours. With a Diamond-VIP membership, not only can you attend all live Exam Reviews, all live Weekly Reviews, and Study Hours, but you can also skip the line at all Review Sessions and you get a $15 credit for private tutoring on Tutor Matching Service .
13. Where do I buy a membership?
Memberships can be purchased through our Facebook Application. Just click on the Study Edge App tab on the left hand side to visit the app. Click the Buy Now icon in the upper right hand corner to become a member! You can manage your account through the Facebook Application by clicking the My Account icon in the upper right hand corner. 14. What membership should I buy?

15. What if I run out of video tokens?
If you find yourself running out of video tokens, we recommend upgrading your membership. You can upgrade your membership by visiting the My Account page on the Study Edge Facebook App. Video tokens are also available for purchase. A one-time purchase of 25 video tokens costs $20, and a one-time purchase of 5 video tokens costs $5.
16. What if I upgrade or downgrade my membership level?
If you upgrade your membership, your credit card is charged the new amount, and your video tokens are replenished to the specified membership level. Your video tokens will be replenished the next month on the date that you upgraded. For example, if you upgrade from a Silver membership to a Gold membership on September 10th, you will be replenished to 100 video tokens that day and your credit card will be charged. Your video tokens will be replenished back to 100 again on October 10th.
If you decide to downgrade your membership level, your video tokens will be set to that membership level, and you are charged the amount of the new membership on your next replenishment date. For example, if you downgrade from a Diamond- VIP membership to a Gold membership on January 21st, you will be charged $50 instead of $75 on February 21st, and your video tokens will be replenished to 100 instead of 200. You can make changes to your membership on the My Account page on the Study Edge Facebook App.
17. When will my video tokens be replenished?
Your video tokens will be replenished once a month on the day you purchased your membership. For example, if you buy a Diamond-VIP membership on September 5, your video tokens will be replenished to 200 video tokens on October 5, November 5, etc. On the “My Account” page, you can see the date you purchased your membership.
18. Do I lose my video tokens if I cancel my membership?
Yes, when you cancel your membership you will no longer have any video tokens to use to watch videos on the Facebook Application. If you decide to cancel your membership, your credit card will not be charged the next month and you will no longer have any video tokens. Remember that you can only view documents if you have a membership, so if you decide to cancel your membership, you will be unable to view any of the documents posted for your course. Also, you will not be able to attend in-person Review Sessions (if you attend UF or UGA).
19. What happens if my membership did not get renewed?
Memberships are renewed by your credit card being auto-charged each month. For example, if you bought a membership on January 10th, your credit card will be automatically charged on February 10th, March 10th, and so on. If your membership did not renew successfully on the proper date, it is because one of two things happened: either you cancelled your membership in the "My Account" area before the date of renewal, or the credit card you have saved in your profile did not run properly. Either way, the result is that your video token balance goes to zero immediately, and you are not considered a member. So how do you fix this? There's a very easy solution. Just go to "My Account" in the top-right corner of the Facebook App and purchase a new membership. This will immediately recharge your video token balance and put you as a member in our system. You can also call us at 1-888-97-STUDY if needed.
20. What are Karma Points?
Karma Points are awarded by our Study Experts for providing useful information about your class and answering other students’ posts on the class walls on the Study Edge Facebook Application.
For every 5,000 Karma Points that you earn, you get to choose between 20 video tokens, a $10 gift card to a local restaurant/bar, or $5 cash. There’s no limit to what you can earn. 21. What is Tutor Matching Service?
While Study Edge does not offer one-on-one private tutoring, our partnership with Tutor Matching Service gives Diamond-VIP members a $15 credit each month to use for private tutoring. Tutor Matching Service (TMS) is an innovative software application that makes finding and securing a tutor easy, safe and efficient. The TMS application expands upon the social networking aspects of Facebook to bring students and tutors together through an efficient online marketplace. The platform provides in-depth search capability, interactive scheduling software, and secure credit card payment processing, thus resolving many of the longstanding issues faced by tutors and tutees.
Tutor Matching Service (TMS) has simplified and revolutionized the process of connecting students with tutors that meet their needs. Through utilization of Facebook, TMS now makes it easy for students to search out tutors by name, school, subject, or course code.
